1 (29 ounce) can pumpkin purée
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
3 eggs
1 c. White sugar
1/2 t. Salt
4 t. Pumpkin pie spice
1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
3/4 c. Butter
1 c. Chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350º. Lightly grease one 9x13" pan. Preferably metal.
In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, salt, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix well. Pour batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over pumpkin mixture. Melt the butter or margarine and drizzle over the cake mix. Sprinkle walnuts over the top. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until done.

This is wonderful to serve especially around Thanksgiving. The original recipe came from my Aunt Esther Kilborn. I serve it sometimes with either vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. It is delicious!
