4 medium apples, pared, quartered and cored.
1 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Heat apples and water over medium heat until boiling. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring occasionally, 5-10 minutes. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Heat to boiling.
