2 c. ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR

2 c. WHITE SUGAR

1 teaspoons BAKING SODA

1/2 teaspoons SALT

1/2 c SOUR CREAM

2 larger EGGS

1 c. BUTTER

1 c. WATER

5 tablespoons UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER




FOR ICING


6 tablespoons MILK

5 tablespoons UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER

1/2 c. BUTTER

1 teaspoon VANILLA EXTRACT

4 c. POWDERED SUGAR

1 c. chopped WALNUTS (optional)

TO MAKE CAKE

Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 10x15-inch baking pan.
In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking sodas and salt in another bowls beat, together sour cream and eggs. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat, then stir in water and coco, Bring mixture to a boil, then remove from heat. Allow to cool slightly, then stir butter mixture into egg mixture to dry ingredients, stirring until blended. Add egg mixture to dry ingredients, stirring until smooth ad combined. Pour batter into prepared pan Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean, cool cake 30 minutes before icing.

TO MAKE ICING

In a large saucepan,, combine milk cocoa, and butter, bring to a boil, then remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Sift in powdered sugar. stirring until blended. Spread frosting over cake and sprinkle with walnuts (if using).
