1 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
1 c. coarsely chopped blanched almonds, toasted
4 (4 1/2 oz.) milk chocolate candy bars, melted
1 c. finely chopped blanched almonds, toasted

Directions:

In large saucepan melt butter or margarine. Add sugar, water and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally to hard crack stage (300º). Quickly stir in the coarsely chopped almonds; spread in well-greased 13x9x2 pan. Cool thoroughly. Turn out on waxed paper. Spread with half the chocolate; sprinkle with half the finely chopped nuts. Cover with waxed paper; invert. Spread again with chocolate. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. If necessary, chill to firm chocolate. Break in pieces.
