Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 TB water
1 c. coarsely chopped almonds
1/4 c. ground almonds
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Grease a large baking sheet with butter. Toast chopped almonds under broiler until they begin to brown. Set aside, put oven temperature to 290º. Combine butter, sugar and water in saucepan. Melt on high till boiling, reduce to medium. Make sure it's blended. DO NOT STIR TOO MUCH! Stir occasionally and slowly. If you stir too fast, too much air gets into mixture and causes it to separate. When temperature reaches about 270º on candy thermometer, put almonds back in warm oven. (Cold almonds may also cause separation.) When temperature reaches 290º, remove from heat and add almonds. Pour on baking sheet and spread out. Sprinkle chocolate chips over. Put pan in warm oven to melt chocolate chips so you can spread it around. Dust with ground almonds. Let it cool. Eat it. Repeat process.
