4 c. corn flakes or 1 c. corn flake crumbs
1/3 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. softened butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 can crushed pineapple, drained (20 oz.)
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 pt. whipping cream (1 c.)

If using corn flake crumbs, measure:crush into fine crumbs.

Measure the 1/3 c. butter and the sugar into a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture becomes syrupy and bubbles around the edges. Remove from heat.

Add the corn flake crumbs. and mix well. With back of tablespoon, press crumb mixture evenly and firmly in bottom of a 9X9 inch pan to form crust. Set aside.

Place1/2 c. butter and the powdered sugar in small bowl; beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs; mix until smooth. Beat one minute longer. Spread evenly over crumb crust. Sprinkle pineapple and nuts over powdered sugar mixture. Cover and refrigerate over night. Cut into squares to serve. Garnish with additional fruits and nuts if desired.

For variations substitute 1 pt. sliced strawberries and 1 sectioned orange for pineapple and nuts. Or one 15 oz. can of cherries or blueberries.
