1 c sugar
1 stick oleo
1 egg
3 1/2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 c buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, oleo & egg together. Add sifted dry ingredients, alternately with buttermilk. Let dough stand in refrigerator overnight. Roll out, using abou 1 large tablespoon of dough. Roll on floured board with palms of hands until about 9-10 inches long and 1/4 inch thick.

Put on ungreased cookie sheet and form in shape of "L" or a bow. Bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes.
