1/4 cup butter
13 ounces canned tuna or salmon
1 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
10 3/4 ounce can cream of mushroom soup
1 can french fried onion rings
4 to 5 medium raw potatoes, peeled and sliced (these will shrink once cooked)

Melt butter in 2 quart 7 x 11 inch glass baking dish about 10 seconds. Arrange potatoes in bottom of dish. Bake, covered with paper towel for 10 minutes; potatoes should be "almost" done. Combine soup and milk in 4 cup glass measuring bowl. Microwave 1 -1/2 minutes. Meanwhile, spread tuna and cheese over potatoes. Pour heated soup mixture over tuna. Top with french fried onion rings and micro-cook uncovered 5-7 minutes or until casserole is heated through and cheese is melted. Serves 6
