18 crushed graham crackers (1 1/2 C. crumbs) , 1/3 C. sugar, & 1/2 C. melted butter mixed well and pressed firmly into greased 9" pie pan. Save a few crumbs for the top of pie.

Filling:
1/4 C. cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
2 Tbs. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cornstarch, 1/2 c. sugar and salt. Gradually add milk. Cook in double boiler till thick - about 10 minutes, stirring constantly, slowly add small amount of hot mixture to egg yolks. Stir into remaining hot mixture, cook 5 minutes. Add butter and vanilla. COOL. Then fold into meringue which is made with 3 egg whites beaten stiff with 6 Tbs. sugar added slowly.
Pour into cooled graham cracker crust.
