2 large onions - Texas 1015 preferred, thinly sliced
1 stick butter
1 (8 oz) container sour cream
1/2 teaspoon dill weed
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 ounces Cheddar cheese, grated, divided
1 (15 oz) can cream style corn, undrained
1/2 cup milk
1 (8 1/2 oz) box corn muffin mix (prefer Jiffy)
1 egg, slightly beaten
4 drops hot red pepper sauce (Tabasco)

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in butter; stir in sour cream, dill, salt, and half the Cheddar. In a separate bowl, combine corn, milk, muffin mix, egg and pepper sauce. Put the corn mixture in buttered 10-inch baking dish. Spread the onion mixture over the corn mixture. Top with remaining Cheddar.
Bake at 325º for 30-40 minutes until golden brown. Serves 8-10.
