4 c. dry grated potatoes
1 c. mashed potatoes
1/2 c. flour
1 T. salt

Directions:
For dry potatoes, use six quarts peeled raw potatoes-grated. Put a few grated potatoes at one time in clean cloth bag, squeeze all moisture Mix the other ingredients, roll into balls, Roll in flour, drop into boiling, salted water. Simmer for 1/2 hour for medium size dumplings. Serve with gravy or fried onions.

Grandma's tip: If dough is too sticky, add some more flour. Do not forget to sprinkle your hands with flour or is will be difficult to form dumplings.
