½ c margarine
½ c brown sugar packed
1 egg yolk
½ tsp. vanilla
1 c flour
¼ tsp. salt

Directions:
Roll into 1 inch balls. Dip in slightly beaten egg whites, then roll in crushed walnuts. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet and press thumb gently into center. When cool put icing in middle. Bake 375 for 10-12 minutes.
