1 1/2 c finely chopped onions
4 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp caraway seeds
1 egg
1/4 c milk
1/4 tsp salt
1 c flour
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 c melted butter
1/4 c milk
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp celery seeds

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in butter until soft but not brown. Add flour and caraway seeds. Beat egg with milk and salt, stir into onion and cook and stir until slightly thickened. Set aside.

Make pastry with flour, sugar, baking powder,melted butter, milk, salt and celery seed. Spoon pastry into greased 9" square baking pan, then spread with onion mixture. Bake in preheated 375º oven about 35 minutes.

Place under broiler about 2 minutes to brown top. Cut into squares and serve hot.
