1 tsp baking soda
1/2 c sour milk
2 oz chocolate
1/4 pound butter
3 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c hot coffee
2 c sifted flour
2 c brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Stir soda into sour milk. Shred chocolate, put into 1/2 c measure and fill with boiling water to make 1/2 c liquid measure of chocolate.

Cream butter and half the brown sugar, beat remaining sugar into egg yolks, then blend with butter/ sugar mixture, beating thoroughly.

Stir in liquid chocolate, vanilla and coffee and continue beating. Sir in flour alternating with sour milk, beating the mixture for 3 more minutes. Spoon into a greased loaf pan and bake for about 35 minute at 350º
