3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 (3-3 1/2 lb.) lb. chicken, cut in eighths
1/2 c. bottled French dressing
1/2 c. apricot jam
1 envelope dried onion soup mix
1/3 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Line a roasting pan with heavy duty foil. Pour oil onto foil. In a bowl, mix salad dressing, jam, and onion soup mix.
3. Place chicken pieces skin side down. Season the pieces with half the salad dressing sauce, turn the chicken pieces over, and season the remaining sauce.
4. Add water to the pan, and bake uncovered for 1 1/2 hours.
