I Cup shortening
2 Cups Sugar
1 Egg
I Cup milk
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg
4 Cups flour +1 ½-2 cups for kneading
Pinch of Salt
1 Tablespoon Vanilla

Butter Cream Frosting
1/3 cup of room temperature butter
3 cups powered sugar
Tablespoon of milk

1. Stir vinegar into the milk and let sit while blending the sugar and shortening
2. Put the sugar and shortening in a bowl and blend together until creamy
3. Pour milk and vinegar mix into the bowl and Gradually add all the ingredients.
Flour should be added one cup at a time until incorporated.
4. Once blended sprinkle flour on a work surface and start to knead in the additional 1
½ -2 cups of flour
5. Roll dough with a rolling pin until about ½ in thick
6. Use cookie cutter to cut desired shape
7. Bake at 400 for about 10 mins.
8. Let cool before frosting

Frosting
Mix all ingredients together until smooth. For thicker icing use less milk.
