6 cups strawberries with 3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup additional sugar plus 2 tablespoons
3 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 sticks cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1/2 cup cream
2 large eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Toss strawberries with the 3/4 cup sugar; let sit to bring out their juices.
Blend the dry ingredients until combined. Add butter and mix until mixture resembles coarse meal, with some pea-size bits of butter remaining. (can use a processor to pulse 10 or 12 times)
In medium bowl, whisk together 1/2 cream and the eggs. Pour over flour mixture and pulse until some large clumps begin to form (23 to 30 times)
Measure 1/2 cup of flour mixture on a baking sheet and bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Add strawberry mixtures and whip cream.
