12 medium sized dills
2 cloves garlic ,minced( optional )
2 cups vinegar
4 cups sugar
2 Tablespoons whole clove
2 Tablespoons pickling spice

Directions:
Directions:
Slice dills 1/2 inch thick and put into jars (add minced garlic if using ). In a saucepan bring sugar and vinegar to a boil. Add spices which have been tied in a cheese cloth. Boil 5 minutes.Pour the hot mixture over the pickles and seal.

This is a good way to use old dill pickles or ones that didn't turn out the way you wanted them to , no need to throw them out.
