Ingredients:  
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg well beaten
1 2/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter, add egg, salt and vanilla. Mix well, then add flour that is well mixed with baking powder.

Shape in roll about 2" in diameter. Set away to cool in wax paper.

Slice in thin slices and bake in moderate oven.

Ice with icing sugar.
