Ingredients:  
1/2 lb. ground or diced beef
1-1/2 c. rice
2 cloves garlic cut into slivers, or about 1/4 tsp. chopped garlic
fresh ginger thinly sliced, about 1/2 cubic in.
salt and pepper (to taste)
1/2 c. olive oil (amount depends on size of frying pan)
1 chopped pepper and/or other vegetables
1 chopped onion
2 T. soy sauce
~2 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
In a deep frying pan or wok, stir fry onions, beef and ginger in olive oil until beef is browned. Add soy sauce, salt and pepper. Then, add chopped vegetables toward the end of cooking time. Reduce heat and stir in rice. Add water (enough to cover all of the rice) and bring to a boil, stirring. Reduce heat again and cover for 20 min. or until rice is completely cooked. Also works with chicken or lamb.
