Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs 3/4 c. nuts
1 tbsp. cocoa
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Let stand 10 minutes. Add sugar and butter, stir until melted. Add other ingredients and beat by hand. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x15-inch pan. Top with chips and chopped nuts. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees F. In Kenya I use chopped Cadbury bars in place of chocolate chips and macadamia nuts instead of pecans. It makes a wonderful snak-n-cake and my family likes the Kenyan version best because they get
more chocolate.
