1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 cup sweet milk
1 tsp.soda ( scant)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 to 3 cups flour ( dough should be soft and not to stiff but easy to roll)
FILLING:
1 1/2 cup raisins - 2 Tbsp. Water
1/2 cup sugar - 1 Tbsp. Flour

Directions:

Mix butter and sugar and cream, add eggs, milk, soda and flour and blend. Chill dough for about 2 hours. Divid dough into 4 pieces and roll to about 14 inch thick. Cut into 3 inch circles. Place cookies on a greased cookie sheet, put one tsp. of filling in the middle of the cookie. Top with another cookie, using a fork seal the all the edges of the cookie
FILLING:
Cook until thick and then cool before filling the cookies.
Bake at 350º for 10 to 12 mins. Or until light brown
