8 to 10 apples
3/4 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 c. butter or margarine

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes. Serves 6 to 8
Peel and slice about 8 to 10 apples into an 8x8 baking dish (enough apples to fill the dish to almost full. Mix the flour, brown sugar and salt in a bowl.

Cut butter or margarine into the dry ingredients until about pea size lumps. Spread crumb mixture over apples. Bake. Serve warm with ice cream and cover/refrigerate any left overs. Yum!

My mom made her apple crisp in the late summer when our apple trees were producing. My brothers and I would climb the trees and pick pockets full of apples to bring to mom - about 8 to 10 apples.
