1 cup butter, softened
1 ½ cups brown sugar
¼ cup boiling water
1 tsp baking soda
1 ½ cup flour
1 ½ cup quick cooking oatmeal
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325ºC
Cream softened butter and then mix in brown sugar
Mix boiling water with baking soda and then stir into butter and sugar
Mix in vanilla
Combine dry ingredients together and gradually add to wet, stirring nicely
Place dough on cookie sheet by spooning with teaspoon (bigger spoonfuls will make softer cookies)
Bake between 325ºC and 350ºC for 8 to 10 mins
