3 pkgs dry yeast
5 cups self rising flour unshifted
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
1/2 cup warm water
1 tsp. soda
2 cups warm buttermilk
Directions:
Directions:
Disolve yeast in warm water and set aside. Mix flour, sugar and soda. Cut in shorting. Add buttermilk and yeast mix, place dough on floured cloth and cut out with biscuit cutter. Let warm to room temp. before baking in 350 oven 10 to 15 minutes. Store in refrigerator in covered bowl will keep for several weeks.
