2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup butter softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 (12 oz. pkg) 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped nuts.

Preheat oven to 375º. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt, set aside. In Large mixer bowl combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract, beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded measuring tbsp. onto ungreased cookie sheet . Bake for 9 to 11 minutes.
Variation: Prepare dough as directed. Spread onto greased 15 1/2 X 10 1/2 X 1 inch baking pan. Bake at 375º for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool. Cut into thirty-five 2 inch squares. Refrigerator.
Variation: Prepare dough as directed. Divide in half, wrap each in waxed paper. Chill. Shape each half in 15 inch log. Roll - up in wax paper. Chill 30 minutes. Slice 1/2" thick bake 8 - 10 minutes 375 º.
