Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Greens of choice, I like butter lettuce for this salad. Crumbled Blue cheese, Shredded tart apple, soaked in lemon, Candied nuts of choice, Crispy onions
Dressing:
2 T. honey, 1-2 cloves garlic, 1 t. Dijon Mustard, 1/4 c. balsamic or red wine vinegar, 1/4 c. olive oil, salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Crispy onions: slice onions super thin and fry in oil until crisp.

Candied nuts: 1/2 c. nuts, chopped large, 3 T. sugar
In a skillet, over medium heat, let sugar darken to a golden brown while stirring constantly. Stir in nuts, stir till coated and just till they are brown, easy to burn! When done, place on a buttered plate to cool.

You can combine all the ingredients for this salad if you want to make a large bowl, but I think it is best when plated. It is a very beautiful salad.

Personal Notes:
This is a fun salad and it is a treat for the eyes as well as the body! I love it in the fall when the apples have a lot of favor and that is why I named it Harvest Salad. Red onions are really pretty but any mild onion will do and you can use the canned french fried onions if you are in a hurry. I have found that the blue cheese crumbles freeze well so I always try to have some on hand for this salad.
