2 large cans of tomato puree (from Italy, if you can get it).
2 large cans of crushed San Marzano tomatoes.
2 tablespoons of oregano.
2 tablespoons of basil.
2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar.
6 cloves of garlic.
1 large Vidalia onion.
Olive oil.

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cover bottom of large pot with olive oil.
2. Cut onion, peel and cut garlic – add to olive oil and sauté.
3. Add 2 large cans of crushed San Marzano tomatoes.
4. Add 2 tablespoons of oregano 2 tablespoons of basil, 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar and stir.
5. When mixture bubbles, add 2 large cans of tomato puree and stir.
6. When mixture bubbles, add 2 cans of water and stir.
7. When mixture bubbles, add your meatballs, sausage or whatever you like and stir.
8. Simmer all day until you are ready to eat.
Takes about one hour to put together – you will never use Ragu again!

Jerry gave me (Michelle Meyers Bunn) this recipe years ago. I have made it many times and it is my favorite go to sauce. I asked him to give me the original recipe because I wasn't sure if I had changed it over the years but
it is indeed the one I have been using. It is wonderful!!
