1 tsp. salt
1 c. softened butter
¾ c. sugar
¾ c.firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. water
2 eggs
1 12 oz. pkg of chocolate chips
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts

Variations: (1)4 c. dry cereal, (2) 2 c. chopped dates (3) 1 tsp grated orange rind, (4) 2 c. raisins, (5) 1 c. peanut butter

Preheat oven to 375º. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and set aside. Combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and water. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Add flour mixture, mix well. Stir in 2 cups chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop by well rounded ½ tsp. onto well greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes.
