1/2 cup butter
1 cup soft wheat flour
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 cup milk
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups peaches, peeled and sliced (canned, drained work fine)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in a 9 x 13 pan in the oven. Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Add sugar and milk to make a batter. Remove the hot pan from the oven and pour in the batter. Spoon the peaches and some juices over the batter. Sprinkle with sugar as desired. Bake until batter has risen over fruit and is nicely browned, about 30 minutes.
