Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Mix in small bowl:
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt

Mix in large bowl:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup shortning
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Add small bowl to large bowl and mix. Add 1 cup chocolate chips. Don't grease cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
