1 yellow cake mix, separated
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups Karo syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Take out 2/3 cup of the yellow cake mix and set aside. Mix the rest of the cake mix with eggs and vanilla. Bake in greased 9 x 13 pan at 350 for 15 minutes. Mix remaining cake mix (2/3 cup) with the rest of the ingredients. Pour over cooked layer. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes more. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
