2 and 1/2 Cups Sugar
1/2 Cup White Corn Syrup
1/2 Cup Water
2 Eggs White (Well Beaten)
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 Cup Walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, water, and syrup until if forms a soft ball in cold water. Pour 1/2 of this mixture over beaten egg whites, whipping/beating constantly . Return the remaining 1/2 mixture to the stove and cook until it forms a hard ball in cold water. Pour this over the egg mixture and beat until it stands when dropped from spoon onto wax paper.

Nuts, dates, or candied cherries are good in this batter. Bitter Chocolate Chips (2-3 oz. ) makes a great chocolate divinity.
