CAKE
1/4 cup shortening (marg)
3/4 cup sugar (white)
1 1/2 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup chopped walnuts ( I use pecans or you may omit nuts)

SAUCE
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 7 ingredients (cake) together & put in a 9 x 12 baking dish. Mix next 3 ingredients (sauce) together & spread over top of first mixture. Then pour boiling water over top. Bake @ 375 F for approximately 3/4 hour or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean.

* For more sauce double the last 3 ingredients & the boiling water. I do!!
