1/4 lb butter melted
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
3 tsp of baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the sugar, milk, flour and baking powder with melted butter.
Add 1 qt peaches or berries - pour into middle of batter and bake.
Try baking at 350º for 30 to 40 minutes (then let me know what really worked as Mom didn't specify baking instructions!)
Serve hot with ice cream or milk over the top.

The modern day version is to add fruit to a yellow cake mix and bake, but this is a little sweeter than the old fashioned cobbler.
Mom always made me blackberry cobbler for my birthday cake using this recipe. We ate it with milk over the top - modern upgrades would be cool whip or ice cream!
