1 1/2 lb lean hamburg (browned)
2 small onions finely chopped
1 clove garlic chopped (optional)
1 can mushroom soup or to make gluten free use finely chopped fresh mushrooms and make sauce with 1 cup milk, Heat milk & cornstarch till starts to thicken and put cut mushrooms into it
1 tbsp. cornstarch in addition to that used above
1 tbsp. vinegar
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt,
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 medium sized tin tomato sauce or Ragu spaghetti sauce which is is gluten free
2 cups raw elbow macaroni (gluten free pasta will work)

Cook macaroni (until it is just tender), drain and cool a little bit. Brown the meat. Add the onion and garlic to the meat and gently cook. Stir soup, tomato sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, corn starch, salt, pepper, and chili powder together. Add the meat, onion and garlic mixture to the liquids and stir. Add macaroni and give it a final mix. Put in a large casserole dish and top with bread croutons (can be made from gluten free bread) and bake for about 1 hour at 325 º F.
