2 C flour (we like all whole wheat)
· 2 tsp baking powder
· ½ tsp salt
· ½ tsp baking soda
· 3 Tbsp sugar

· 2 eggs, separated
·
· 2 C buttermilk
· ¼ C butter, softened

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients
2. Combine egg yolk, buttermilk and butter
3. Add dry ingredients and beat well
4. Fold in fluffy beaten egg whites
5. Bake in hot waffle iron

Ideas for toppings: maple syrup, bananas, nuts, chocolate chips, berries, sprinkles, Nutella, peanut butter, whipped cream!

We like to make a waffle bar for “brinner” or special breakfasts. Also a fun meal to share with families with new babies or needing a fun meal for whatever reason. They can freeze any leftovers and have something yummy to grab for the toaster.
