Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 can diced or stewed tomatoes
1 qt. milk
2 T. butter
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Heat milk with the 2 T. butter over low heat. In a separate pan, heat the tomatoes. Before you add the tomatoes to the milk, add the baking soda - it will foam up - then stir the tomatoes into the milk. Doing it this way, it will not curdle. Add salt and pepper to taste and enjoy with saltine crackers. This was one of my husband's favorite quick suppers on a winter night.
