Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1lb. Ground beef
1 large or 2 medium size onions (diced small)
About 4 cups tomato juice ( I use V-8)
1 can kidney beans (I use dark red)
1 cup macaroni
Chili powder

Directions:
Directions:
Put diced onion and ground beef in good size pot and fry together until it is browned, stirring often to prevent sticking and burning. When beef is browned add the tomato juice to mixture (I usually add the entire can) and chili powder to taste, about 2 tablespoons - more if you like it hot . Turn the heat down low and let it simmer about one hour.
Cook the cup of macaroni in salted water as directed on package.
Add the cooked macaroni and the can of kidney beans, let this come to a boil on medium heat. Stir at intervals and cook about 5 minutes.
You can always add more tomato or chili powder - some people like it thick some more a soupy nature.
Serve with saltine crackers and cream cheese.
