1 potato per person
Flour
Egg
1 medium Onion
Sage
Simple gravy

DUMPLINGS

Boil 1 potato per person until done. Peel.

Mash potatoes - do NOT use butter or milk. Leave in bowl to cool completely.

Add flour 50/50 portion. Add 1 teaspoon salt. Mix ingredients until reaching consistency of cornmeal.

Add 1 slightly beaten egg to mixture and "squish" together. Form into balls. Add flour as required.

Put dumplings into boiling salted water (dumplings will sit on bottom). Stir, cover. Continue to boil 12-15 minutes.

GRAVY

Add a medium peeled whole onion to a pot of gravy. Add sage. Cook until onion is done. Remove onion before serving.
