Ingredients:
2 cans of sour tart cherries, drained. Do not use cherry pie filling.
3/4 to 1 cup sugar depending on taste.
2 tbsp flour & 1 tbsp cornstarch or just 3 tbsp flour
almond flavoring 1/4 tsp or so
1 tbsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
Stir dry ingredients in bowl before adding drained cherries.
Add almond flavoring with cherries.
Place in unbaked pie shell and dot with 1 tbsp butter.
Add top crust. Aunt Marlene always made a lattice top but solid works fine with vents cut in top crust to let steam escape.
Sprinkle a little sugar over top crust if desired.
Bake 425º 40-50 minutes until center is bubbling.
