1 pkg dry yeast (2-1/4 tsp)
1 cup warm water
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
3-1/2 cups sifted flour
1 egg
1/4 cup shortening

Directions:
Directions:
In warm water dissolve the yeast. Add sugar salt and 1/2 of flour. Beat thoroughly with mixer for 2 minutes. Add egg and melted shortening. Beat in remaining flour gradually until smooth dough. Cover with damp cloth and refrigerate. You can punch down in 2 hours or leave overnight and punch down before you leave for church. Make into rolls and put cupcake pan or 13x9 greased pan. Let rise for 2 hours (covered) and bake at 400º for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with butter or honey butter.
