4 C flour
1/2 tsp salt.
1 C butter
3 egg yolks
½ C sour cream.
1 tsp vanilla
1 pkg. dry yeast

Pecan Filling:
3 egg whites
1 C sugar
3/4 C ground pecans or walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla


Directions:
Directions:
Sift 4 Cups flour and ½ tsp. salt into large bowl. Cut in 1 Cup butter.
Blend together: 3 egg yolks (save whites for filling) and ½ Cup sour cream. Add 1 tsp vanilla and 1 pkg. dry yeast. Mix well and add to the flour-butter mixture. Stir to form a dough.
Divide dough into 4 parts. Roll out each part on board sprinkled with sugar. Roll to 11 inch circle about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 8 wedges. Spread with pecan filling. Roll each wedge, starting with wide end and rolling to a point. Place point=side down on greased baking sheet until lightly browned.

Filling:
Beat egg whites until stiff. Add 1 cup sugar, ¾ Cup ground pecans or walnuts and 1 tsp. vanilla. Mix until well blended.
