white onions (about 1 per person)
2 cups milk
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups flour
pepper

Peel and slice onions about 1/4 inch thick. Separate into rings. Combine milk and eggs in a large bowl. Place onions in bowl. Soak for at least 30 minutes. Put flour and pepper in a large gallon size ziploc bag. Add onions, one at a time until bag is ful, leaving room for onions to be shaken. Shake until onions are coated. Fry in hot oil (350º) until golden brown. Drain on brown paper bag on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with salt while onion rings are hot.

A favorite of all who have tried, even if they don't like onions. Emily has almost mastered this but Dad and Jason think she should practice more often to achieve perfection!
