2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup cold water
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk

Icing:
1/2 cup butter
4 tablespoons cocoa
6 tablespoons buttermilk
3 1/2 - 4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Before cake is finished baking, bring butter, cocoa and buttermilk to a boil. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and beat. Pour over hot cake and spread.

In a bowl mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda. Set aside and place in a saucepan butter, cocoa and water. Then bring to boil. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. Add vanilla, eggs, and buttermilk, and beat well.
Bake in a greased 17" by 11" by 1" cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 18 - 20 minutes watching closely.
