1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
1 1/2 tsp. clear vanilla
4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp.salt

FROSTING:
1 c. butter
9 c. powdered sugar
3 tsp. clear vanilla
up to 3/4 c. milk
food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Can be rolled out to 1/3" thickness and cut with cookie cutter or I use a cookie scoop . Place on a cookie sheet lined with non-stick foil, flatten with a fork and bake at 350º for 6-10 minutes. Cool completely before icing.

To make frosting in a large bowl, cream butter until light and fluffy. Beat in powdered sugar and vanilla. Add enough milk to achieve desired consistency. Tint with food coloring, if desired. Put icing on cookies.
