1 c. shortening
3 c. flour
1 T. cinnamon
2 T. molasses
2 tsp. soda
1 c. raisins
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cloves
2 - 2 1/2 c. thick applesauce
1 c. nut meats
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp allspice
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar, add beaten eggs. Add molasses. Mix flour, spices and salt. Add applesauce mixed with soda and alternate with flour and applesauce. Bake on 350º until done.
