Whole Wheat, Raisin or Plain Bread

5 3/4 c. flour (2 c. of this may be whole wheat)
1 1/2 c. raisins
2 c. lukewarm water
1/4 c. sugar
1 T. salt
2 T. lard
2 c. of soft yeast

Directions:
Directions:
Place water, yeast & sugar in pan, add 2 c. flour & beat 2 min. Add raisins & more flour. Stir well. Let dough res in covered bowl 10 min. then place on board & knead 10 min. Place in greased bowl to raise, punch down & let raise again. Then place in pans to raise double for baking in moderate oven. (2 loaves) I add 1/2 more of recipe for 3 loaves & not any more yeast.
