1 C. sugar
1 C. powdered sugar
1 C. butter, softened
2 eggs, beaten
1 C. oil
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 C. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the sugars and cream with butter, eggs, oil and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and add to mixture. Chill at least 3 hours.

Preheat oven to 350º.
Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto cookie sheet. Press each cookie flat with a flat-bottomed glass that is wrapped with a wet dishcloth dipped in sugar.
Bake for 10 -12 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
