3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 T. sugar
1 egg
1 T. vinegar
5 T. cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, shortening, sugar and salt with pastry blender until pea size. Beat egg until very light; add vinegar and cold water. Add to dry ingredients.

I use original Crisco. My mom uses half Crisco & half butter. Don't overwork the ingredients. Use plenty of flour when rolling out the dough. Will handle easier if placed in the fridge a while before rolling out.
